Goals | Teaching numerical systems, various number sets and teaching basic concepts related to these subjects; identifying the misconceptions related to these subjects and proposing solutions for these difficulties. |
Course Content | Setting number system, natural numbers, operations in natural numbers, numbers with different bases, integers, multipliers and folds, divisibility rules, LCM and GCD concepts and their applications; Ratio, proportion concepts and their applications; Real numbers, exponents and radicals, fractions, decimals, percentages; Rational and irrational numbers; Teaching basic concepts about sets (organizing course content - using appropriate teaching materials and strategies, etc.); Student knowledge about these subjects (understanding, interpretation, student difficulties, mistakes, misconceptions and causes of students thinking about concepts); Relating the topics with daily life and other lessons. |
