These are real practical studies that students do in professional organizations that are closely related to the program they study in order to reinforce their existing knowledge within a certain period of time. Vocational school students are required to do industry-based education (EDE)/internship in the application areas of the program they study. EDE/internships are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Associate Degree Applied Education Directive and the principles determined by the Senate.
Students who have completed all course and practical obligations but are incomplete or are deemed unsuccessful in their internships cannot graduate until they complete their internships and must renew their registrations in each registration period.
If students whose internship locations have been previously determined and approved by their units change their internship locations without the knowledge of their units, their internships are considered invalid.
Vocational internships that will be deemed mandatory according to the characteristics of education-training programs and the principles regarding industry-based education are regulated by the Senate within the framework of the decisions taken by the Council of Higher Education. In programs with internship obligations, internships are carried out in accordance with the internship program principles determined by the relevant board. During the internship and at the internship locations, students are subject to the provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 in terms of discipline.
