Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in short-term and intensive psychological counseling approaches used in situations of crisis, trauma, and acute psychological distress. The course aims to develop students' skills in planning effective interventions within a limited time frame, assessing risks, making ethical decisions, and ensuring client safety.
Course Content This course covers the theoretical foundations of short-term psychological conditions, crisis intervention models, trauma-focused brief interventions, separation risk assessment, psychological first aid, solution-focused and systemic behavioral brief interventions, somatic and neurological treatments, ethical and cultural aspects, case formulation, and intervention planning processes. The course includes case analyses, role-playing exercises, and supervised regional discussions.
