Goals Distinguishing surgical diseases of children; diagnosis, monitoring and treatment; approach to diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases in the newborn period; learning situations that require urgent surgical intervention; innovations in surgical procedures to children watch and learn.
Course Content • History and Introduction to Children's surgery • Hirschsprung's Disease • Acute Abdomen in Children • Inguinoscrotal regional pathologies • Intestinal Atresia and Obstruction • Constipation and fecal soiling • Surgical treatment of intersex in children • Hypospadias • Surgical circumcision how-to ? • Abdominal wall defects in children • Necrotizing Enterocolitis • Literature • Surgical diseases of the head and neck region in children • UTI and VUR • Anorectal Malformation • Childhood Solid Tumors • Burns • Seminar • Permanent peritoneal dialysis catheters, subcutaneous infusion port applications • Diaphragm Disease • Surgical jaundice in children and Biliary Atresia • Foreign body aspiration, Gastrointestinal foreign bodies • Prenatal hydronephrosis • Urinary Tract Stone Disease in Children • Surgical diseases of the penis in children and circumcision • Esophageal atresia • Blood and Blood Products Transfusion • Fluid Electrolyte therapy • Foley catheter, CIC catheters, sistofix, chest tube, sertofix, NG and feeding tubes • Enuresis Nocturna • Corrosive substance ingestion and corrosive esophagitis

1 Describes the normal structure and functions of the body's organs and organ systems.
2 Explains the etiology and pathogenesis of diseases ,the clinical and diagnostic characteristics within the framework of the biopsychosocial model
3 Gets the detailed and reliable anamnesis, and executes physical examination, basic medical interventions used in the diagnosis and treatment
4 Executes initial intervention of life-threatening illnesses , and provides patient transfer and transport when necessary
5 Selects and performs the highly effective methods with the scientific data and evidence-based in treatment of diseases.
6 Applies ethical principles of the art of medicine.
7 Makes health services, management, organization and financing of knowing. Medical application of knowledge and application of legal rules and risk management.
8 Carries out the principles of preventive medicine, and collaborates with other relevant stakeholders for protect the health of society and individuals
9 Makes scientific research and transfer scientific, and technological advances to professional practices.
10 Knows enough foreign language to update medical knowledge and uses statistics and computer technologies in order to evaluate scientific studies.
