Goals To educate students to comprehend psychiatric semiology,to abstract psychiatric symptoms and normal ideas,emotions,behaviours,to diagnose and making differential diagnosis for psychiatric diseases, to start treatment and continue started treatment whenever necessary.
Course Content • Description and history of psychiatry,basis principles,concepts and psychiartic epidemiology. • Diagnose and classification mental health and disorders • Principles of patient-physician relation and psychiatric conversation,observation and guide to examine medical history. • Neurobiologycal and psychodynamic basis of behavior,defense mechanisms of ego • Personality development, psychosexual and psychosocial development • Physiologic and structural disorders associated with psychologic factors • Childhood psychiatric problems and disorders • Organic mental disorders • Schizophrenia • Personality disorders • Delusional disorders • Other psychotic disorders • Mood disorders • Anxiety disorders • Somatoform disorders • Adjustment disorders • Sexual disorders and dysfunctions • Dissociative disorders • Psychotherapies • Alcohol and drug use disorders • Forensic psychiatry • Psychiatric treatments • Exam

1 To describe the normal structure and functions of the body's organs and organ systems.
2 To be able to explain the etiology and pathogenesis of diseases ,the clinical and diagnostic characteristics within the framework of the biopsychosocial model
3 To be able to get the detailed and reliable anamnesis, and to execute physical examination, basic medical interventions used in the diagnosis and treatment
4 To be able to execute initial intervention of life-threatening illnesses , and to provide patient transfer and transport when necessary
5 To select and perform the highly effective methods with the scientific data and evidence-based in treatment of diseases.
6 To apply ethical principles of the art of medicine.
7 To be able to make health services, management, organization and financing of knowing. Medical application of knowledge and application of legal rules and risk management.
8 To be able to carry out the principles of preventive medicine, and to collaborate with other relevant stakeholders for protect the health of society and individuals
9 To be able to make scientific research and to transfer scientific, and technological advances to professional practices.
10 To know enough foreign language to update medical knowledge and be able to use statistics and computer technologies in order to evaluate scientific studies.
