Goals To provide knowledge and skill about handicapped children and their general features. To give information on the causes, diagnosis, education of handicapped children. To provide knowledge about integration applications, to give knowledge about study with parents.
Course Content Handicapped children and Special education, developmental disabilities, mental disability and autism, learning difficulties, hearing disabilities, language and speech disorders, emotion and behavior disorders, visual disabilities, physical disabilities, superior intelligence and talent, early education, special education applications in the World and Turkey

1 Student shall explain the definition and borders of special education term
2 Student shall explain the features of handicapped children
3 Student shall give information about the history of special education applications in our country.
4 Student shall explain how integration applications are realized.
5 Student shall remark special education support services by giving examples.
6 Student shall design the requirements for the integration process of a handicapped child step by step.
7 Student shall explain general features of people who have various specialties such as mental retardation, superior intelligence, learning difficulty, emotional and behavioral disorder, hearing impairment, visual impairment, and multiple disabilities.
8 Students give information about the cause of handicapped children’s diseases. -Student give information about the classification of handicapped children.-Students give information about commonness of handicapped children.-Students give information about the education of handicapped children.
