Goals To give information about irrigation systems, land and water resources and irrigation techniques
Course Content The definition and importance of irrigation, benefits, history and irrigation in Turkey, irrigation methods, irrigation systems and irrigation projects, soil-plant-water relations, evapotranspiration, irrigation water requirements, irrigation interval, timing, preparation of land for irrigation, land leveling , field irrigation systems, selection of appropriate irrigation method, surface irrigation methods, sprinkling and drip irrigation methods, irrigation water quality, problematic soils and breeding, the definition and importance of drainage, drainage studies, surface and subsoil drainage methods
