Goals Course Objective In the frame of manufacturing disciplines, gaining of theoretical and practical knowledge in the creation of products. Identification and problem solving in manufacturing periods
Course Content Recognizes and safely uses the lathe machine and its tools. Learns how to sharpen tools and perform exercises. Understands the importance of selecting the appropriate tools and machines for the tasks to be performed and carries out applications within safety rules. Knows the importance of surface finishing and learns how to use finishing, scraping, hammering, drilling, and clamping tools and how to prepare the furniture for surface finishing at each stage.

1 • Knowing turning machine and it’s cutting tools and using safely. Information about sharpening of the cutting tools and how can make an exercise.
2 • Choosing tools and machines suitable for the production process and to make applications within the boundaries of the security rules.
3 • Knowing of the using of finishing, milling, tapping, drilling, crimping tools and preparing furniture for every stage of the surface processes being aware of the importance of surface processes on the furniture industry.
5 • Put in use knowledge/skill acquired during the course in work environment effectively.
