Goals The aim of this course is to recognize and classify computer networks, fundamentals of data communication, data transmission media, data transmission protocols, network topology, protocol concepts, OSI reference model and TCP/IP model with its layers, internet concepts, fundamentals of internet protocol and architecture, learning the operation of TCP/IP group protocols, learning IP addressing architecture and subnetting, ethernet and media access, physical addressing, cabling and network planning.
