Goals Recognition of tools used in metallography, preparation of metallographic samples, recognition of micro and macro structures, fractured and etched structures, evaluation and report preparation.
Course Content Metallographic sample preparation and examination, melting-solidification, recrystallization, grain growth, sintering, aging. Hardness measurement methods; Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers.
