Goals DA To understand the structure and working principles of machines. DA Engines to start, speed control methods to comprehend. To be able to comprehend electrical braking methods in DC machines. To understand the structure and working principles of transformers. To be able to calculate equivalent circuit and efficiency in transformers. Ability to recognize different connection groups in three-phase transformers
Course Content Working principles and structure of DC machines, structure and working principles of one and three phase transformers, voltage induced in DC machines, torque calculation, working of transformers in idle, short circuit and load. DA Feeders in the machines, armature reaction and commutation, equivalent circuit and efficiency in transformers, DA Dynamos basic concepts, behaviors, three-phase transformer different connection groups, DA Motor start, speed control and braking.
