| Goals | To understand the importance of language in the life of the individual and the life of the Turkish language and to teach the historical periods of Turkish language; To be able to grasp the sound and shape structure of Turkish and to develop students' ability to express what they have heard, read, see and think in a planned, effective and fluent way. |
| Course Content | - Knows the definition of language, has an idea about the place and importance of language as a social institution in the life of the society, language and the language of culture and language is the difference between thought. - Learns the place of Turkish language among the world languages. He realizes the riches and subtleties of Turkish. He learns the difference between Turkish language and other languages. - Have knowledge about the development and historical periods of Turkish language. |

- He/she knows the definition of language, has an idea about the place and importance of language as a social institution in national life, and realizes the connection between language-culture and language-thought. - He/she learns the place of the Turkish language among the world languages, realizes the richness and subtleties of the Turkish language, and knows the differences of the Turkish language from other languages. - Have knowledge about the development of the Turkish language and its historical periods. - Have knowledge about the current status of the Turkish language and its spreading areas. - Understands the sound properties and rules of Turkish and knows how to use these rules in written expression. - Have knowledge about the structural features of Turkish - He/she calculates the effects of words that cause language pollution in his/her environment on the language and realizes the effect of culture on the language. - Knows the morphological structure of Turkish and uses spelling and punctuation marks appropriately. - Speaks Turkish in a correct, beautiful and successful manner and improves his/her ability to express himself/herself. - Have the ability to make presentations in front of the public, express their knowledge and ideas at a level that others can understand, and use effective communication. - Gets into the habit of using a dictionary and spelling guide. - Uses the Turkish language in the academic theses (undergraduate, master's and doctoral) he/she writes, within the framework of thesis writing rules. - Gains the ability to analyze literary and scientific texts and take notes. - Recognizes idioms and proverbs and uses these expressions in oral and written expression. |
