Goals 1. To be able to grasp the knowledge and skills of universal lathes and machining machine tools and to be able to produce. 2. To be able to comprehend the basic knowledge and skills in machining machine tools and universal milling machines. 3. Measurements can be made during manufacturing with adjustable measurements and control instruments. 4. To understand the basic knowledge and skills of grinding machines and to be able to sharpen the cutting tools used during manufacturing.
Course Content - - Knows the basic knowledge and skills of universal lathe operations. - - Knows the basic knowledge and skills of universal milling machines. - - Knows the knowledge and skills of adjustable measuring and control instruments well. - - Knows how to sharpen single-blade cutters with free hand on emery stone machines. - -Knows the basic knowledge and skills of grinding machines.
Learning Outcomes - DK1- Knows the basic operations in plane and cylindrical grinding machines.
- DK2- Knows the basic operations in universal lathe and milling machines.
- DK3- Knows the division operations in universal milling machines.
- DK4- Knows how to remove chips with broaches. Knows the principles of tool sharpening

4. Week B- MATERIAL REMOVATION PRINCIPLES IN MILLING MACHINES; Definition, types and properties. Beneficial and harmful aspects of same (same) and opposite (opposite) direction milling methods. Selection of milling cutters. Defining the cutting speed in milling and calculating it according to the affecting factors and finding and applying the speed numbers that will give the cutting speed selected from the cutting speed lists.
