Goals | The main objective of this course is to give general taxonomic descriptions and biological features of invertebrate animals. |
Course Content | General taxonomic information and concepts; species concept, invertebrate morphology and biology, one-celled organisms, sponges, Coelenterata, Trematoda (flat worms), Nematoda (round worms), Annelida (segmented worms) Nemertinea, Rotifera (wheel animalcules), Arthropoda (joint arthropods) Echinodermata (spiny skin) and primitive deuterostomia taxonomy of the group, living environments, economic and ecological importance. |
