Goals To learn fundamentals of traditional plant usages in different taxonomic categories
Course Content Connection with the genetic structure of diversity of species, Preparation techniques of plant chromosomes, Priciples of biological dyes and histological staining, Chromosome numbers and morphology of chromosomes, Karyotype analysis, Preparation techniques for cytological studies I, Preparation techniques for cytological studies II, Delineation of pollen. History of palynology, Morphological structure of pollen and terminology of pollen morphology, Chemical instructions of pollen, Systematic of pollen, Material and methods of preparation of pollen preparates,Pollen anaysis, Woodhouse medhod, Acetoloysis methods
Learning Outcomes - Students will gain ability to learn basic concepts of ethnobotany
- Karyotype analysis in plants will be perfomed
- Pollen slides can be prepared
- Pollen and chromosome characteristics in plant systematics can be used.
