Goals The aim of this course is to provide students to understand the basic principles of blood circulation in the vascular system, blood pressure, blood volume, special circulation in different parts of the body and how they are regulated, and to understand the interactions between organs.
Course Content Circulatory System Overview, Principles of hemodynamics, Capillary Fluid Exchange and Interstitial Fluid, Pulmonary Circulation, Microcirculation and Lymphatic System, Coronary Circulation, Skeletal Muscle Circulation, Cerebral Circulation other special circulatory regions, Hepatic and Renal Circulation, Local and Humoral Control of Blood Flow, Local and Humoral Control of Blood Pressure, Control of Cardiac Output, Exercise and circulation, Circulatory Shock
Learning Outcomes - Knows the pressure changes in various parts of the circulation, the properties of blood pressure and their regulation mechanisms.
- Will be able to explain the principles of hemodynamics and the characteristics of blood flow and the factors affecting them.
- Knows and discusses the features and differences of special circulation zones.
- Knows how to readjust circulation during exercise and circulatory shock.
