Goals To learn the structure and function of hereditary materials. To comprehend the steps of the period of inheritance of the information from gene to protein.
Course Content Genes, genes genome, gene number, repeats, gene families, mutagens, mutation, repair mechanisms, Protein Synthesis, Using the genetic code, the operon, transposons, oncogenes, cancer, cell cycle, methods in molecular genetic studies.
Learning Outcomes - Comprehend the principles of components having role in heredity
- Learn the molecular basis of heredity
- Identify the species, comprehend the structure and function of living organisms.
- Gain the ability to identify a scientific study. Describe and solve problems.
- Learn modern techniques and biological analysis methods used in the laboratory and gain the ability to apply them.
- Learn the origin of liveliness, the process of development of living organisms and the term of evolution. In this concept, interpret the diversity of organisms.
