Goals Comprehend evolution, taxonomy, morphological, anatomical and physiological characteristics of fishes
Course Content Introduction, Taxonomy and evolution of fishes, External morphology, skin and its derivates, Skeletal and muscular systems and locomotion, Respiratory system, Circulatory system, Buoyancy and thermal regulation, Excreation and osmoregulation, Digestive System, Food , Digestion and Growth , Reproduction, Nervous System, Sensory System, Endocrine System, Zoogeography
Learning Outcomes - Able to interpret the evolutionary processes affected fishes; to able to predict morphological, anatomical and physiological characteristics of fishes as a result of the evolutionary processes
- Know existent modern fish taxa
- Learn anatomical and morphological characteristics of fishes
- Comprehend morphological adaptations of fishes to live in aquatic environment
