Goals The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about the development, structure and functions of the endocrine system, etiopathogenesis, pathology, symptoms and signs, prevention, diagnosis and treatment principles of disorders related to this system and basic medical skills for the endocrine system.
Course Content Hormone and endocrine effects, classification of hormones and their mechanisms of action, adenohypophyseal hormones, neurohypophysis hormones, growth hormone and its mechanism of action, thyroid hormones and its mechanism of action, parathyroid hormone and calcium-phosphate metabolism, endocrine hormones of the pancreas, adrenal gland hormones.
Learning Outcomes - Learns the structure and basic physiological functions of the endocrine system glands and organs.
- Learns to regulate hormones through feedback mechanisms
- Learns the production and categorization of hormones.
- Learns and questions the mechanisms of action of hormones
- Questions how the endocrine system interacts with the nervous system and other body systems.
- Learns basic information about common diseases and hormonal disorders that affect the endocrine system.
