Goals The aim of this course is to provide students with practical general knowledge and skills about basic surgical techniques in experimental animals.
Course Content Laboratory introduction and physical conditions required in the animal laboratory, animal cages, housing, and care, Experimental animal breeds, animal production, animal welfare, Preoperative and postoperative preparation, Use of surgical instruments, Anesthesia and euthanasia techniques, basic suture techniques, marking methods in experimental groups, Anatomy and histology of experimental animals, Experimental Animal Physiology, Ethical concepts in experimental animals and alternative methods to animal studies,Experimental studies planning, Animal diseases, quarantine, internal and external parasites, laboratory safety, Autopsy in experimental animals, Legal regulations in laboratory animals in our country and in the world, Experimental animal biochemistry, Ethics committees and filling out the ethics committee application form
