Goals To comprehend the formal knowledge of Turkish, to ensure the proper use of spelling-punctuation marks, to comprehend the elements and types of sentences, to gain the ability to write and speak without expression disorder, to make presentations in front of the public and to examine scientific texts and to gain the ability to take notes.
Course Content Morphology of Turkish language, sentence elements and sentence types, expression disorders, spelling-punctuation; presentation, poetry, essay, composition, story, newspaper, magazine studies and applications.
Learning Outcomes - - Knows the formal structure of Turkish, uses spelling-punctuation marks in place. - Speaks Turkish in a correct, beautiful and successful style, has the ability to express himself/herself
- - To be able to make presentations in front of the public, to be able to express information and thoughts at a level that others can understand, to use effective communication. - Have the habit of using dictionary and spelling guide.
- Uses Turkish language in academic theses (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral) within the framework of thesis writing rules. - Gains the ability to analyze literary and scientific texts and take notes. - Recognizes idioms and proverbs and uses these phrases in oral and written expression.

1. Week Correction sign, long vowel, spelling of “de-ki-ile”, additional-verb spelling, spelling of suffixes to infinitives, spellings related to verb conjugation, spelling of question suffix, qualities of consonants, vowel contraction, vowel drop, consonant harmony, consonant derivation, spelling of numbers, spelling of abbreviations, places where capital letters are used.
2. Week The spelling of compound words, the spelling of reinforced words, the spelling of doublings, the spelling of idioms, the spelling of quoted words, the spelling of foreign proper names; some words whose meanings are confused in Turkish and some words that have difficulty in spelling; applications.
3. Week Period, comma, semicolon, colon, ellipsis, question mark, exclamation mark, hyphen
4. Week Long dash, slash, backslash, quotation mark, single quotation mark, denden mark, arc bracket, square bracket, apostrophe and applications.
5. Week Basic principles of oral expression, types of oral expression (conference, open forum, symposium, seminar, etc.)

7. Week Characteristics of instructive texts, instructive texts about personal life, instructive texts developing around newspapers

10. Week Literal meaning, connotation, figurative meaning, term meaning, synonyms, antonyms, homophones, general and special meaning words, concrete and abstract meaning words, qualitative and quantitative meaning words, slang words, reflection words, dilemmas, idioms, proverbs.

Week Affirmative-negative sentence, question sentence, imperative sentence, exclamation sentence, sentences containing other judgments, conditional sentence, purpose sentence, cause-effect sentence, stylistic sentence, content sentence, subjective expression, objective expression, direct expression, indirect expression; structure and content of the paragraph.

13. Week Sentence elements and sentence types.
