Goals | To learn the specific diseases in context with their morphological changes (both microscopic and macroscopic) of organism’s tissues and to understand the etiopathogenesis of the diseases, clinical and laboratory findings, the medications used to treat certain diseases and also to understand the public health, emergency medicine applications and family medicine. |
Course Content | Committee 1: Neoplasia and Hematopoietic System Diseases Aims to acquaint the grounding to the students about the basis of genetic, the pharmacological and surgical treatments of the neoplasia and hematopoietic system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients, their clinical and pathological symptoms, general symptomalogy; diagnostic tools for them in radiology and nuclear medicine. Committee 2: Clinical Microorganisms and Infectious Diseases Aims to teach in order to describe the basis of genetic, , surgical treatments, the pharmacological, pathological and symtomatology of the infectious diseases in pediatric and adults; the clinical and pathological features of them and the correlation of them with the microorganisms and to use the medical (pharmacological) and surgical treatments of these diseases by teaching certain laboratory techniques by students. Committee 3: Cardiovascular and Respratory System Diseases Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of the cardiovascular system and respiratory system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 4: Gastrointestinal System Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of the gastrointestinal system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 5: Endocrine System Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of the endocrine system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 6: Urogenital System Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of the urogenital system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 7: Neurosciences and Psychiatry Committe Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of the neurological, neurosurgical and psychiatric diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 8: Musculoskeletal System Committe Aims to educate the students about the pathology, symtomatology, physical examination symptom, certain laboratory techniques, visualization methods of radiology and nuclear medicine and the basis of genetic, the pharmacological, and surgical treatments of eye, ear-nose-throat and musculoskeletal system diseases in the pediatric and adults patients Committee 9: Public Health Core Committe Aims to teach the factors affecting the health care providers adversely in Turkey; to evaluate the social and cultural factors as well as biological factors that affect the health care systems; to solve the epidemiologic problems; to understand the central and the provincial health care organization and also to compare them with the systems of the other countries; to know about the manpower and the distribution of the occupations in Turkey; to learn research techniques of the health area tissues and statistical evaluation methods |
