Goals The main objective of this course is to shape students’ knowledge of English in terms of grammar, vocabulary and four skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) at the introductory levels.
Course Content After completing the course, the students are expected to have a command of basic grammatical patterns (Subject Pronouns, To Be, Simple Present Tense etc.) and required vocabulary of daily language (family members, countries, numbers, food and drink, free time activities, daily activities, jobs, etc.).
Learning Outcomes - - understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
- introduce him/herself and others.
- ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
- ask and answer questions about past actions.
- Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
