Goals To learn the morphology and taxonomy of Spermatophyta
Course Content Root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit, seed structure, General characteristics and classification of Spermatophyta. General features and classification of Gymnosperms. General characteristics of angiosperms. Important families of Angiospermae in the flora of Turkey specification and samples of the species to be introduced.
Learning Outcomes - Learn the general taxonomix terms
- Learn the Spermatophyta according to evolutionary order
- Distinguish the taxonomic categories of Spermatophyta
- Learn the morphological characteristics of Spermatophyta with laboratory techniques
- Remark on ecological characteristics and importance of different Spermatophyta species
- Work on Spermatophyta species which have economic value
