Goals Teaching students the history of the Republic of Turkey
Course Content Europe's growth, the effects of the French Revolution and the Ottoman Empire, administrative reforms, First and II. Constitutional Period I. World War I and the Ottoman Empire Battle input, Armistice, Ataturk's personality and in Samsun, congresses and the Independence War, the abolition of the Sultanate, the Lausanne Peace Treaty war, its causes, consequences and Ottoman war entry, Armistice and Anatolia the invasion of Atatürk in Samsun sending causes, Amasya Circular, National Struggle armed stage, Inonu, Sakarya War and the Great Raid, the Treaty of Sevres, Mudanya and Turkish Political Life, the Lausanne Peace Treaty.
Learning Outcomes - Students will be able to;list the revolutions happened after Republic.
- Distinguish the cases happened against Republic such as Sheik Sait Riot, İzmir Assasination.
- Summarize the process of modulation to multi-party system.
