Goals The aim of this course is to give information about principles of pharmacoterapy, rational drug use, dermatologic disorders, OTC, drugs used in emesis-vomitting, diarrhea-constipation, endocrine system disorders, nutritional disorders, gynecologic and obstetric disorders, renal disorders, urologic disorders, respiratory disorders, antitussive agents and drug monitoring
Course Content
Learning Outcomes - The students will learn at the end of this course • General principles of pharmacotherapy, , rational drug use, stages of life, parenteral nutrition
- At the end of this course, the students will learn and understand OTC
- will have the understanding of drugs used in emesis-vomitting and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- will have the understanding of drugs used in diarrhea-constipation and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- will have the understanding of drugs used in asthma and COPD and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- will have understanding about therapeutic drug monitoring.
- will have the understanding of drug used in endocrine system disorders and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- Dermatologic disorders and treatment ,will have the understanding of drugs used for Dermatologic disorders disorders and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- At the end of this course, the students will learn and understand nutrional disorders, obesity and treatment
- Gynecologic and obstetric disorders and treatment will have the understanding of drugs used for Gynecologic and obstetric disorders and can define and give examples of mechanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- At the end of this course, the students will learn and understand drug use in pregnancy and lactation.
- Renal disorders and treatment , will have the understanding of drugs used for Urologic disorders and can define and give examples of mchanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
- Urologic disorders and treatment , will have the understanding of drugs used for Urologic disorders and can define and give examples of mchanism of action, their pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics, advers effects, and drug interactions
