Goals Gaining the informmation and skills about tractors, tillage tools and equipment, and sowing, planting, fertilizing and maintenance machinery, and irrigation machinery, plant protection machinery, harvesting-threshing machines, and agricultural machinery management issues
Course Content Definition of agricultural mechanization, historical development, benefits; agricultural mechanization in Turkey (agricultural structure, historical development and the level of turkey important factors that delayed the mechanization of agriculture), agricultural production mechanization of energy sources used in agriculture, agricultural tractors (general properties), agricultural tools and machinery; tillage tools and machinery, sowing, planting machines, fertilizer distribution machines, irrigation mechanization, plant protection machines, harvesting machines
Learning Outcomes - The historical development of agricultural mechanization and teaching its benifits, and grasping level of agricultural mechanization in Turkey and in the world
- Teaching the soil cultivation and the seedbed preparation techniques to the students
- Teaching the technical and functional characteristics of the planting, seedling, hoeing and fertilizing machines to the student
- Teaching the technical and functional characteristics of the harvesting-threshing machines to the students
