Goals To obtain the teacher candidates accurate information about the normal physical, cognitive and spiritual development of infant and children in order to notice the aberration of normal development earlier. To knowledge them about the common diseases like respiratory infections and diarrhea and to knowledge them about the protection of these diseases and the first aid of a child with burn, brusing, trauma, insect bite and intoxication.
Course Content The description of child health, the condition of child health in our country and the world. The development of child in utero, the effects of the diseases and the accidents of the mother to the devolepment of child in utero.The physical development (teeth, height, weight) and the follow up of the children between 0-8 years old.The common diseases(diarrhea, exanthematous diseases, parasitary diseases, meningitis) of the children between 0-8 years old and protection from contagious disease.The normal physical, cognitive and spiritual development of infant and children.First aid of a child with burn, brusing, trauma, insect bite and intoxication.
Learning Outcomes - Having knowledge about the communicable diseases in preschool children and take precaution about them.
