Goals To educate individuals who know the concepts and importance of early childhood period and education.
Course Content Developmental stages and developmental tasks in early childhood education, role of teachers, characteristics of educational institutions and personnel, approaches and theories affecting development and education, educational programs, general characteristics of developmental areas, role of family in the development of early childhood child
Learning Outcomes - Knows definitions related with early childhood education, explains the importance of early childhood education and scope.
- Knows the basic principals of early childhood education and discusses the basic views.
- Knows about early childhood teachers training that teachers have to have.
- Knows about children’s basic characteristics and needs and compares them with other age group children.
- Knows about early childhood education in Turkey and in other countries.
- Knows children’s need related with basic skills and social behaviors.
- Knows and describes schools' physical and educational characteristics.
- Knows the importance of family in early childhood education and describes the family-school cooperation.
