Goals To communicate improvisational thoughts and ideas in a formal or non-formal setting and to share information about a specific topic.
Course Content Development of verbal communication skills using appropriate expressions and strategies for various verbal communication situations; developing the ability to express emotions and thoughts effectively through dialogue, presentation, and discussion activities; using current, original, visual, audio and audiovisual materials.
Learning Outcomes - Students will share knowledge and generate impromptu opinions in oral form
- Students will overcome the fear of speaking in English in front of a crowd
- Students will comprehend, assimilate, and apply interesting facts, stimulating quotes, and multi-sourced texts to formulate new ideas and opinions
- Students will demonstrate an active role in extended communicative tasks, with the express goal of using it in the real world
- Students will improve the use of supra-segmental features, such as pronunciation and intonation, as well as grammatical structures to further develop fluency and general communication
