Goals The overall goal of this course is to make students comprehend the qualities and principles of teaching as a profession, the qualities of the school and the classroom, the types of teaching and the qualities of effective teachers, the alternative perspectives in education; the social, psychological, philosophical and historical origins of education as well as the general qualities of the Turkish education system.
