The purpose of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program is to provide industry-based training on the concepts, rules, theory and applications of air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as the theory and applications of heating techniques, and to train intermediate staff with the title of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician for institutions and organizations operating in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program have the opportunity to gain field-specific work experience by working full-time in businesses for one semester with the +1 Education Model.
PEA1: To train advanced graduates who are proficient in the fundamental principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and heating systems; possess practical skills in mechanical installations, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC components; and have technical competence in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation and control applications of refrigeration systems, and who can contribute to project design processes.
PEA2: To train graduates who are aware of energy efficiency, environmentally friendly technologies, and next-generation refrigerants in industrial and commercial refrigeration applications; and who work in accordance with professional ethics and occupational health and safety rules.
PEA3: To train graduates who are team-oriented, have strong communication skills, adhere to professional ethical values, and work in accordance with occupational health and safety rules.
PEA4: To train individuals who are mindful of continuous learning, can follow technological developments, can monitor innovations in their professional field with foreign language skills, and can maintain their professional development.
