School of Physical Education and Sport aimed to improve the students with program which has been prepared with contemporary approach to education. Students can learn sport-specific teaching methods, improving the materials, preparing the education plan in the this program. Moreover, students will have various features such as information and skill of sport education at any stage.
The target is to give gualities, teachers personality traits to teachers; to train them as the contemporary qualified teachers of physical education and sport; to teach them generating new solutions for problems.
The purpose of this program is to train enough teachers with effective teaching skills in many respects.
Physical Education and Sports Teacher is an interdisciplinary program with education, science, sports psychology, kinesiology, biomechanics, sports physiology, motor learning, motor skills, training science. Graduates from this program are equipped as modern, productive, qualified, searching.

The competencies of the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Undergraduate Program are determined in full compliance with the Level 6 standards and core field competencies of the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ). Program competencies are addressed under four main headings.
In the knowledge dimension, students understand the concepts and interrelationships in their field based on the basic competencies they acquired in secondary education, can discuss the methods of producing scientific knowledge, have knowledge about curricula, strategies and methods, gain expertise in student development and learning difficulties, and are familiar with national and international cultures.
In the skills dimension, students can effectively use advanced information resources related to their field, interpret data by examining events and phenomena with scientific methods, analyze problems and develop evidence-based solutions, apply teaching strategies and methods appropriate to student characteristics, develop materials, and evaluate student achievements in a multifaceted way.
In the competencies dimension, four sub-areas stand out. Within the scope of independent work and taking responsibility, students can take responsibility in individual and group work and cope with unforeseen complex problems. Within the scope of learning competencies, they can critically evaluate the knowledge and skills they have acquired, identify their learning needs, and develop a lifelong learning awareness. Within the scope of communication and social competencies, they can plan professional projects with a sense of social responsibility, communicate in a foreign language, and use information technologies at an advanced level. Within the scope of field-specific competencies, they can set an example for society by acting in accordance with professional ethical values, democratic principles, and legal regulations; participate in quality management processes; and contribute to the creation of a safe school environment.
Graduates from this program will be appointed in the State Schools; Ministry of State for Sports; Clubs, Municipalities, Special Provincial Administrations

There is a need for professional staff in public institutions and organizations and private sector clubs in Turkey. Short-term courses can not meet demand. The real purpose of this program is to educate students as qualified professional staff.
The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes who have valid puan from ALES and foreign language exam, that national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. At the Master level an specialization in "Movement and Training Sciences" exist.
Physical Education and Sports Teaching undergraduate programme was schemed to be a programme where formal education with 161 local credits and 240 ECTS credits is given to students.The programme has common courses designated by University Senate along with the compulsory common courses and English course partaking in Higher Education Law.Students are required to particapate in any summer practice to be graduated.
Full-time, in-person instruction is provided.
