At Düzce University, the education is held in English in some departments/ programmes and Turkish in the others. The students are required to prove their English Language levels needed to take the English courses: the all courses for the students of departments/ programmes in which the education is in English and the compulsory courses (English I and English II) for the students of departments/ programmes in which the education is in Turkish.
In order to demonstrate their language levels, the students may take the exam which is given by Düzce University School of Foreign Languages or hand in the documents showing that they got the score determined by the University Senate in the national exam YDS or the international ones such as IELTS and TOEFL.
To be evaluated and approved by the School of Foreign Languages, the students who enrolled Düzce University by horizontal/ vertical transfer
are required to hand the certificate of achievement stating that they have passed the English Preparatory education or they are exempt from the Preparatory education.
The students who do not have the language requirements have to enrol English Preparatory Education programme.
