Goals • Teaching basic information and skills about Turkish maqam music theoretically and prectically. • Teaching maqam music infromation and skills about hearing-reading-writing maqam music.
Course Content Hisar, Hisar Buselik, Şehnaz, Şehnaz Buselik, Saba, Arazbar, Dügâh, Gerdaniye, Gülizar maqams. 16-32 beats usuls. Transcription, solfege and flow exercises with studied maqams and usuls.
