Goals • Teaching basic information and skills about Turkish maqam music theoretically and prectically. • Teaching maqam music infromation and skills about hearing-reading-writing maqam music.
Course Content Şed Maqam conception. Mahur, Zavil, Acemaşiran, Nihavend Nikriz, Neveser and sultaniyegâh maqams. 2- 10 beats usuls. Transcription, solfege and flow exercises with studied maqams and usuls.
