Goals The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts, historical development, functions, and applications of Human Resource Management (HRM). Within this framework, the course aims to enable students to analyze key HRM processes such as workforce planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance evaluation, and retention strategies in alignment with organizational goals. Special emphasis is placed on HRM practices within sports organizations to enhance sector-specific awareness. Contemporary research highlights that strategic HRM practices significantly influence organizational performance, employee engagement, and sustainable competitive advantage. Accordingly, the course aims to equip students with the ability to critically evaluate HRM practices from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
Course Content This course provides a comprehensive framework covering both theoretical foundations and practical applications of Human Resource Management. The course content includes: Definition, scope, and historical development of HRM Core functions, principles, and organizational structure of HRM Legal framework and labor regulations in HRM Job analysis, work study, and workforce planning Recruitment, selection, and placement processes Employee mobility and career management Organizational socialization processes Performance appraisal systems and compensation management Strategic Human Resource Management Employee relations and workforce direction Technology and digital transformation in HRM HRM practices in sports organizations The course integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, aiming to develop students’ abilities to analyze, interpret, and evaluate HRM processes within organizational contexts.
