| Goals | The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the multidimensional relationship between sport and media by addressing its economic, cultural, technological, and ethical dimensions. Within this framework, the course aims to equip students with the ability to analyze the operational structures of media institutions, the processes of sports content production, and the ongoing digital transformation driven by new media technologies. Students are also expected to critically evaluate contemporary trends in sports communication and media practices. Furthermore, the course examines the role of sports media in shaping public opinion, sports marketing, advertising, corporate image, and social media engagement. Recent studies highlight that digitalization has significantly expanded the global reach of sports media, making it a key driver in the economic growth of the sports industry. |
