Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to understand contemporary management approaches within the evolutionary development of management science and to analyze these approaches in organizational contexts. Within this framework, the course aims to equip students with the ability to evaluate modern management paradigms such as strategic management, innovation management, knowledge management, leadership, crisis management, and lean management from a holistic perspective. Furthermore, the course encourages students to critically examine management practices that enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the context of globalization and dynamic competitive environments. Contemporary research indicates that modern management approaches play a crucial role in improving organizational performance, innovation capacity, and sustainable competitive advantage. Accordingly, the course aims to develop students’ abilities to compare different management approaches and formulate appropriate management strategies.
Course Content his course provides a comprehensive framework ranging from classical management perspectives to contemporary management approaches. The course content includes: Evolution of management science and contemporary management approaches Meeting management and organizational communication processes Innovation management and creativity Organizational knowledge management Lean management and efficiency-oriented approaches Strategic management processes Leadership theories and practices Diversity and inclusion management Values-based management and organizational ethics Crisis management and decision-making under uncertainty Organizational justice and employee perceptions Impression management and corporate reputation The course integrates theoretical knowledge with practical examples, aiming to develop students’ abilities to analyze, compare, and apply contemporary management approaches to organizational problems.
