Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend career planning processes through a scientific and systematic perspective by considering the rapidly evolving economic, social, cultural, ethical, and legal dynamics of the modern labor market. Within this framework, the course seeks to enhance students’ self-awareness, support them in defining realistic career goals, and equip them with the ability to develop strategic career plans aligned with lifelong learning principles. Furthermore, the course aims to foster essential employability skills such as job search strategies (e.g., CV preparation and interview techniques), effective communication, and self-management competencies required for successful school-to-work transition. This approach is consistent with contemporary career theories emphasizing individual agency, adaptability, and continuous career development.
Course Content This course provides a comprehensive framework covering both theoretical and practical dimensions of career planning. The course content includes: Fundamental concepts of career and career planning Individual career development and strategy formulation The relationship between career stages and life stages Career decision-making and job selection processes CV preparation techniques and different resume formats Types of job interviews, interview techniques, and body language Career readiness and personal development Concepts such as career paths, career plateau, and career anchors National and international exchange opportunities Effective communication skills Institutional career support mechanisms Career aspirations and case analyses of exemplary careers The course adopts a practice-oriented learning approach, enabling students to actively develop and refine their own career plans.
