Goals The aim of this course is to teach studens the researh areas of social anthropology, its basic principles, approaches and methods and to provide students with respect to different cultures.
Course Content Emergence of anthropology as a science Relationship between anthropology and other socail sciences Theories of social anthropology Theories of social anthropology Theories of social anthropology The concept of culture and cultural theories Limitations of racial explanations Midterm Exam Anthropological methods and techniques Cultural systems; hunting, gathering, agriculture, animal husbandary, industry and urban communities. Relations of production and consumption, natural environment and population Social stratification and ancestyr Marriage, kinship and ancestry Cultural dimensions of education process
