Goals To learn about quality standards in early childhood education in Turkey, to examine research and standards worldwide, and to develop research-based recommendations for improving the quality of early childhood education in Turkey.
Course Content The course covers topics such as the definition of quality, quality in early childhood education, factors affecting quality, quality standard areas in early childhood education; learning environment, curriculum, family and community participation, staff qualifications, child health, nutrition and safety, management and leadership, early childhood education quality standards in Türkiye and other countries, and quality assessment.

1 To gain knowledge on the establishment, development, and implementation of quality standards in early childhood education in Turkey;
2 Interpreting research on total quality management and early childhood education quality standards;
3 Knowing the factors that play a role in early childhood education quality standards and being able to develop recommendations.
