Goals The objective of this course is to examine the etiology, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria of emotional and behavioral disorders observed in children and adolescents from a developmental perspective. It aims to enable students to grasp the fundamental differences between childhood and adult issues and to learn appropriate assessment and intervention approaches for this age group.
Course Content Introduction to child and adolescent psychopathology; Developmental taxonomy; Neurodevelopmental disorders; ADHD; Conduct disorders; Childhood anxiety and mood disorders; Child abuse and neglect; School refusal and academic issues; Treatment approaches: Play therapy, family therapy, and school-based interventions; Ethical and legal responsibilities.
