| Goals | The objective of this course is to examine the etiology, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria of emotional and behavioral disorders observed in children and adolescents from a developmental perspective. It aims to enable students to grasp the fundamental differences between childhood and adult issues and to learn appropriate assessment and intervention approaches for this age group. |
| Course Content | Introduction to child and adolescent psychopathology; Developmental taxonomy; Neurodevelopmental disorders; ADHD; Conduct disorders; Childhood anxiety and mood disorders; Child abuse and neglect; School refusal and academic issues; Treatment approaches: Play therapy, family therapy, and school-based interventions; Ethical and legal responsibilities. |
