Mode of delivery The course is conducted through theoretical lectures, case-based discussions, applied analyses, and student presentations. Goals The aim of this course is to examine the theoretical foundations of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) at an advanced level, to develop case formulation skills across different psychopathologies, and to analyze evidence-based intervention techniques through case studies. The course aims to equip students with advanced competencies in clinical assessment, cognitive conceptualization, and structuring the therapeutic process.
Course Content This course covers the theoretical foundations of cognitive behavioral therapies, including the cognitive model, automatic thoughts, intermediate and core beliefs, cognitive distortions, and behavioral techniques. Case analyses are conducted across various psychopathologies (e.g., depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder). The course emphasizes cognitive conceptualization, case formulation, and intervention planning through applied case studies. Therapeutic alliance, ethical principles, and cultural sensitivity are also addressed.
