Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire current theoretical knowledge of brief psychological counseling approaches and to gain the ability to apply basic intervention techniques based on these approaches. The course aims to develop students' competencies in planning effective interventions within a limited number of sessions, structuring client problems, and selecting appropriate techniques.
Course Content This course covers the fundamental principles of brief psychological counseling, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral brief interventions, motivational interviewing, emotion regulation-based approaches, third-wave therapy techniques (ACT, mindfulness-based approaches), brief interventions in crisis situations, case formulation, and intervention planning processes. In addition to theoretical explanations, the course includes case analyses, role-playing, and skill-based applications.
