Goals Learning the definition of science and scientific research methods, Learning scientific methodology, research design and data collection methods, Learning types of scientific publications (thesis, article, report, etc.), Learning ethical principles to be followed in scientific research and publication, Learning scientific project writing processes, Learning the elements to be considered in writing an academic publication.
Course Content Definition and development of science, scientific research approach, literature analysis, research design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection, thesis, project, and scientific article writing techniques, ethical principles to be followed while conducting research, ethical principles to be followed while publishing, ethical principles in citation, points to be considered for successful presentation, presentations to be made within the scope of thesis topic/own engineering field.
