Goals Moving from the general definitions and meanings of sociology, to teach the definitions and meanings of sports sociology, the relationship between sports and society, the impact of sports on society, the perspectives of society layers on sports, its role in the formation of social status, its impact on social changes and the social mobility it creates.
Course Content Sociology of sport is the application of sociological approach to the phenomenon of sport. This course includes topics such as determining the place and function of sporting activities in society; determining the relations of the sport phenomenon with other social institutions, the images it creates in different groups and categories.
