Goals "Scientific Sport for All in Social Life" course aims to provide master and doctoral students with the ability to examine the role and effects of sport in society from a scientific perspective. The course aims to provide students with the ability to analyse the effects of sport on individual and social health, socio-economic and cultural dimensions of physical activity and to develop strategies for the promotion of sport in society. In addition, it is aimed that students gain the competence to evaluate the effects of sport on different social groups using scientific methods and to propose appropriate sport policies.
Course Content The role and importance of sport in social life, the historical development of sport, the effects of sport on social structures and its place in the cultural context are discussed. The physiological and psychological effects of sport on health, its contribution to public health and its role in improving the quality of life are examined. In this context, access to sport and participation levels of all groups with different age and socio-economic status are analysed.
