Goals Learners will be able to explain structuralism, conflict theory, symbolic interactionism, dramaturgic theory, social exchange theory, rational choice theory, game theory, modernization theory, dependency theory, world systems theory, postmodern theory simulation theory.
Course Content This class is the continuation of the class of Contemporary Sociological Theories II. Within the scope of the class, late modernity and risk society, symbolic interactionism ve its figures, phenomenological sociology, rational choice approaches, sociology of the body and the agenda of postmodern sociology are being considered.

2 Acquire knowledge of the basic characteristics of sociological method and the stages of sociological inquiry; comprehension of the required concepts for a social scientific inquiry and the methods for a sociological research, and also to be able to use them in an applied research.
