Goals The objective of this course is to help students understand the causes and consequences of individual behavior as influenced by the presence and actions of others in society.
Course Content In the scope of the Social Psychology I course, commonly studied concepts in social psychology (e.g., conformity, obedience, the self, attitudes) and the theories developed to explain these concepts were covered. In this continuation course, similarly, fundamental topics such as social identity, the self, and prosocial behaviors will be introduced to students within the same conceptual framework.

2 Explains social identity theory and intergroup dynamics.
3 Describes how individual differences, cultural norms, and situational variables impact the likelihood of helping behavior.
4 Distinguishes between motivational processes, types of rewards, and mechanisms of social influence.
5 Explains cognitive dissonance theory and provides examples of how these processes affect individual behaviors.
6 Describes various forms of power within social psychology and assesses their influence on interpersonal interactions using practical examples.
7 Recognizes theories related to gender-based prejudices.
8 Examines the manifestations of dehumanization within media representations, wartime scenarios, and intergroup conflicts.
